8-Team compass draw: 3 total team matches

Each team match consists of 5 sets, no ad scoring.

Order of play:



• Men’s doubles
• Women’s singles
• Women’s doubles
• Men’s singles
• Mixed doubles

The first team to reach 5 games wins the set. A 9-point tiebreaker is played if a set reaches 4-all*.

After every four games players change ends. In the 9-point tiebreaker, change ends only after the first 4 points. In the 13-point tiebreaker, change ends only after the first 6 points.

One point is awarded towards the team’s total for each game won.

If teams are tied at the conclusion of the mixed doubles match, a 13-point tiebreaker* will be played (mxd) to determine the team winner.

A team can at any point, including the tiebreaker, substitute a player (same gender) into a set for any reason. Once a player is replaced, he/she cannot return in that set.

*9-point tiebreaker

• Each player serves two points in succession starting from the deuce court.
• Players change sides after 4 points.
• The first team to score 5 points wins the tiebreaker.
• The tiebreaker counts as one game in overall match scoring.

Overtime Play

After all the games are totaled, if the trailing team won the mixed doubles set, the match is not over. The procedure is as follows:

• If the leading team won the mixed doubles set, the match is over.
• If the trailing team won the mixed doubles set, the mixed doubles set continues into Overtime until the leading team wins one game or until the score is tied.
• If the overall score ends tied, you automatically begin a mixed doubles 13-point tiebreaker.

*13-point tiebreaker

• Each player serves two points in succession starting from the deuce court.
• Players change sides after 6 points.
• The first team to score 7 points wins the tiebreaker.
• The tiebreaker counts as one game in overall match scoring.
